ABT Sportsline unveils DTM cars for the 2026 season

With the reveal of its two cars for the 2026 DTM season, ABT Sportsline sets the next milestone ahead of the season start. At the official pre-season test at the Red Bull Ring, which also hosts the season opener, the team will take to the track for the first time with its new design and the two Lamborghini Temerario GT3 cars.

The two cars will be driven by Luca Engstler and Marco Mapelli, both official Lamborghini factory drivers. In ABT Sportsline’s anniversary year, Engstler will compete with car number 130, marking 130 years of company history. Mapelli will enter his first DTM season with car number 10.

In 2026, ABT Sportsline continues its close collaboration with Lamborghini. The new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 marks a new era in GT3 racing, as it is the first GT3 car to be fully designed and developed in-house by Lamborghini and is based on an entirely new platform and powertrain concept.

In addition to the technical development, partnerships play a central role. ABT Sportsline shares a strong and long-standing relationship with Red Bull, which is also reflected in the new car design. At the same time, the team is proud of its long-term partnerships with existing partners, as well as new companies joining the 2026 project.

“Strong partnerships are the key factor for sustainable success in motorsport. It is no longer just about classic sponsorship placements, but about real collaboration, shared content and a strong network,” says Harry Unflath, Head of Sports Marketing at ABT Sportsline. “We are proud of the trust of our existing partners and at the same time excited about new brands joining us on this journey.”

From a sporting perspective, the team is also looking ahead to the new season with great anticipation:

“With the Lamborghini Temerario GT3, we are entering a completely new chapter. The car is a brand-new development and will compete for the first time in 2026. That makes it especially exciting for us to go on this journey together with Lamborghini from the very beginning. Over the past months, we have worked very closely together and we are now looking forward to unlocking the full potential of the car together with our team and our partners on track,” says Thomas Biermaier, CEO of ABT Sportsline.

The presentation of the cars deliberately takes place in the context of the Red Bull Ring, which not only hosts the official pre-season test but also the DTM season opener two weeks later, making it a special venue for the team and its partner Red Bull.
